Celebrate Independence Day in one of the most iconic settings in the country as the Battleship Missouri Memorial proudly brings back Picnic on the Pier for the first time since 2019, just in time for America’s 250th birthday.
Guests are invited to gather with family and friends on the historic pier between the USS Arizona Memorial and the Battleship Missouri for an unforgettable evening of live music, ship touring, and community, all culminating with a spectacular fireworks display over Pearl Harbor.
This beloved community event offers something for everyone, from casual picnic-style seating on the pier to upgraded VIP experiences aboard the Mighty Mo herself. Guests will enjoy a festive atmosphere with local concessions, live music, and the rare opportunity to explore portions of the ship, including the Main Deck and historic Surrender Deck, after hours. For those looking to elevate their evening, reserved seating and premium ticket packages offer prime viewing locations, added comfort, and an unforgettable experience aboard America's last battleship.
The evening concludes with a breathtaking fireworks show at approximately 8:45 p.m., providing a truly memorable way to celebrate America’s milestone anniversary in a place where history was made.

Shuttle Information:
Complimentary shuttle service will be available for guests without base access, with pickup at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. This event is open to the public. No pets permitted.

Guests with General Admission and Pier VIP tickets may bring outside food and beverages, subject to event restrictions. Guests may bring one cooler per family (maximum 40 quarts), picnic blankets, and low-profile beach chairs.
For security purposes, only clear plastic bags and small clutches/wallets are permitted. All permitted bags and coolers are subject to inspection upon entry.
Tents, umbrellas, tables, oversized chairs, personal fireworks, glass containers, grills, and coolers larger than 40 quarts are prohibited. Please review the Event FAQs for the complete list of permitted and prohibited items below.

General Admission
Pre-sale: $30 Adults / $15 Children (ages 4–12)
Includes entry to the forward pier with access to live entertainment, concessions, limited ship touring, and fireworks viewing. Outside food and beverages are permitted with restrictions, including one cooler per family (no glass containers, grills, pets, tables, tents or umbrellas).
Pier VIP Table (Seats up to 8) – $500
Enjoy reserved seating in a prime viewing area on the forward pier, along with event admission for up to 8 guests and a Mighty Mo gift bundle. Outside food and beverages are permitted with the same restrictions as General Admission.
Fantail VIP Experience (Seats 8) – $1,200
Experience the evening aboard the ship’s Fantail with a reserved table for 8 guests, including event admission, live entertainment, and a catered buffet dinner. Enjoy a private fireworks viewing area and exclusive amenities. Outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Everything To Know About Picnic On The Pier
Guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets and low-profile foldable or lay-flat beach chairs for use on the pier. These items are permitted aboard the event shuttle buses.
Outside food and beverages are permitted on the pier, subject to event restrictions. One cooler per family is permitted and subject to security inspection.
Permitted bags include:
- Clutches and wallets measuring 1.25" x 2.25" x 5.5" or smaller
- Clear plastic bags with contents readily visible, similar to those permitted at sporting events
Fold-up wagons used to transport permitted items are allowed.
All permitted bags and coolers are subject to inspection upon entry and may be tagged to indicate they have been screened. Please review the prohibited items list and bag policy before arrival.
For the safety and security of all guests, bags and personal items are subject to inspection upon entry.

Event staff reserve the right to deny entry to any item deemed unsafe, disruptive, or prohibited by federal regulations.
No. Guests who choose to board the ship during the event should leave picnic items at their designated spot on the pier.

When boarding to watch the fireworks, blankets are permitted on board.
Guests without base access: Please park at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.
Guests with base access: Parking is available at the Battleship Missouri parking lot.
Shuttle service from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to the Battleship Missouri Memorial will begin departing between 5:15 PM and 5:20 PM. The final shuttle to the event will depart the Visitor Center at 8:15 PM. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking, shuttle transportation, and security screening.

No, pets are not permitted.
Yes. Guests are welcome to explore select exterior decks of the Battleship Missouri. Access to the interior of the ship is not included.

Fireworks are expected to start at 8:45 pm. You are welcome to watch them from the pier or from the starboard decks of the Missouri.
Guests are welcome to tour the Battleship Missouri throughout the evening up until approximately 30 minutes prior to the fireworks show.
We kindly ask that guests do not camp out or reserve viewing spots aboard the ship prior to that time. Beginning around 8:15 p.m., guests may come aboard to enjoy the fireworks show from the ship, as space allows.
