Estate and Planned Giving

The Battleship Missouri Memorial has become more than the place where World War II ended or a physical reminder of military might.  It is the very embodiment of values that we treasure in the United States – values such as duty, honor, strength, sacrifice, resolve and patriotism. It is up to the current generation to preserve and protect this national treasure, and ensure that the Battleship Missouri Memorial is there for future generations.  An estate gift is a truly meaningful way to be a part of this effort.

The most popular types of estate gifts are ones that are arranged now but come to the USS Missouri Memorial Association sometime in the future (upon your passing).  This allows you to support the causes you believe in while knowing your resources are still available to you should you need them.  In addition, there is a type of gift that you can make during your lifetime that will provide income for life for you and/or loved ones.

Gifts through your estate include:
• Bequests (Wills and Living Trusts)
• Life Insurance
• Retirement Assets (IRA's, 401k, 403b, etc.)
• Charitable Remainder Trusts

The Mighty Mo Legacy Society honors the generous donors who make deferred gifts to the USS Missouri Memorial Association, Inc.   If you have already arranged a deferred gift, please let us know. It would be our great pleasure to welcome you as our newest member.

While a planned gift can often be relatively simple to arrange, you should always seek the advice and guidance of your attorney, accountant, or other appropriate advisor.  We also offer the consultation services of nationally recognized experts in planned giving, at no charge to you.

Thank you for thinking of a legacy gift to the USS Missouri Memorial Association.  We look forward to working with you to find the best gift for your circumstances, and to welcoming you as the newest benefactor of our Mighty Mo Legacy Society.  Please contact us with any questions.
