10th Anniversary Calendar

Anniversary events will continue throughout the year and culminate on Jan. 29, 2009, the 10th anniversary of the Battleship Missouri Memorial's grand opening. The Battleship Missouri Memorial's 10th Anniversary Calendar follows:

June 8, 2 – 3:30 p.m.
"Salute to the Stars and Stripes," a Flag Day celebration in partnership with the Elk's Club. American flags will be distributed while supplies last.

June 21, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
"A Mighty Mahalo," marking the 10th anniversary of the Battleship Missouri's arrival in Hawaii, featuring a full day of complimentary military and kama‘aina admission and pierside activities

July 4, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Military Multi-Service Mass Reenlistment (potentially one for the record books!)

Aug. 2, 6 – 8 p.m.
"Film on the Fantail," an exclusive Friends of the Mighty Mo event (details to be announced)

Aug. 31 - Sept. 5, 2008
"CPO Legacy Academy", an annual Naval and Chief Heritage Education Program designed to complement leadership training and expose the selectees to the storied naval history surrounding Pearl Harbor. Class 002 will be comprised of 50 Chief Petty Officer Selectees.  The class is broken down into five divisions of ten Selectees under the instruction of one Command Master Chief (CMC) and five Lead Chief Petty Officers (LCPOs).  Graduation will be Friday, September 5 at 3 p.m., with a reception following at 4 p.m.

Nov. 15, 6 – 8 p.m.
"Film on the Fantail," an exclusive Friends of the Mighty Mo event (details to be announced)
